| Welcome to our 2002 Season! We will present five concerts that span four centuries across a striking variety of cultures: Celtic Folk music as heard in the late Classic/Early Romantic (Concert I); Renaissance peasant and court music from several nations (Concert II), 'Gypsy' music of Rom performers around Vienna in 1800 (Concert III), Italian tarantellas and Baroque sonatas (Concert IV), and Fandangos and Spanish classics based on flamenco scales and rhythms. We usehistorical instruments and performance practices. Our artists include both internationally-known and emerging virtuosi. | ||||||||||||||||||||
