| I. CELTIC CARAVANS: The Road to Romanticism, Friday, February 8 - UCSC Music Recital Hall Julianne Baird, soprano in British Isles folksongs set by Haydn with Linda Burman-Hall, fortepiano. Co-presented with UCSC Arts & Lectures in partnership with UCSC Department of Music When Vienna and London 'discover' Irish, Scottish and Welsh tunes, Classicism's affair with the folk tune finally turns Romantic. Internationally-celebrated soprano Julianne Baird joins Festival Artistic Director Linda Burman-Hall to create a memorable prelude to Valentine's Day. II. RENAISSANCE ROOTS - GLOBAL FLOWERINGS
